Nachusa Campus School
Options Classroom: A safe and secure classroom for students who suffer from anxiety and other non-disciplinary attendance issues.
Youth Emergency Shelter: Residential students placed by DCFS. These students attend the Nachusa Program to meet educational requirements.
Choices Classroom: Residential students receiving substance abuse treatment.
Nachusa Challenge Classroom: The Nachusa Regional Safe School Program is an alternative school program for regular education students who have been disruptive in the educational program in a regular school. The program is available to students in middle and high school from districts in Lee and Ogle Counties. Lee County school districts will send their students to Nachusa Campus School while Ogle County schools districts will send their students to Chana Education Center.
Students must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for the program:
* Suspended at least twice for a period of 4-10 days for gross misconduct.
*Eligible for disciplinary reassignment pursuant to violation of school district "zero tolerance" policies (expelled or expulsion eligible).
*Involved in misconduct that can be demonstrated as serious, repetitive and/or cumulative, and has been previously remediated at least once by the district.
*Youth returning from juvenile correction facilities.
