Teachers completing this 45 hour training
are qualified Gifted classroom teachers.
The Illinois State Board of Education invites ALL classroom teachers to deepen their understanding of how to teach and reach gifted and talented students. This gifted seminar is a 45 hour course of study replacing the former "Gifted Education Institute." This training will be a combination of face to face participation and individual work on a USB drive that can be done at home. The training consists of the following modules: Overview and Perspectives, Knowing the Gifted, Differentiation, and Gifted Models for the classroom. Most of the training is focused on Differentiation of LEARN HOW TO MEET THE NEEDS OF ALL STUDENTS IN YOUR CLASSROOM.
